(1.1) ∂tu− div a(z,Du) = div ( |F |p(z)−2F ) in ΩT . Here, ΩT denotes the space time cylinder Ω × (0, T ) over a bounded domain Ω ⊆ R with dimension n ≥ 2. We write z = (x, t) for points in R, Du for the spatial gradient of u and ∂tu for the derivative with respect to time. The function u : ΩT → R with N ≥ 1 can possibly be vector valued, so that we include in our considerations the case of parabolic systems. The precise structural assumptions on the vector-field a and the exponent function p(·) will be presented later in Section 2, but the principal prototype we have in mind is the parabolic

Higher Integrability for Weak Solutions of Higher Order Degenerate Parabolic Systems
We consider a class of higher order nonlinear degenerate parabolic systems, whose easiest model is the parabolic p-Laplacean system ∫ ΩT ( u · φt − |Dmu|p−2Dmu ·Dmφ ) dz = ∫

Abstract. This paper studies the global regularity theory for degenerate nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations. Our objective is to show that weak solutions belong to a higher Sobolev space than assumed a priori if the complement of the domain satisfies a capacity density condition and if the boundary values are sufficiently smooth. Moreover, we derive integrability estimates for t...
متن کاملHigher Integrability for Solutions to Parabolic Problems with Irregular Obstacles and Nonstandard Growth
The aim of this paper is to derive the self-improving property of integrability for the spatial gradient of solutions to degenerate parabolic obstacle problem with irregular obstacles and p(x, t)-nonstandard growth. More precisely, we prove that the spatial gradient of the solution is integrable to a larger power than the natural one determined by the structural assumptions on the involved di e...

In this paper, we consider singular and degenerate parabolic equations$$u_t =(x^alpha u_x)_x +u^m (x_0,t)v^{n} (x_0,t),quadv_t =(x^beta v_x)_x +u^q (x_0,t)v^{p} (x_0,t),$$ in $(0,a)times (0,T)$, subject to nullDirichlet boundary conditions, where $m,n, p,qge 0$, $alpha, betain [0,2)$ and $x_0in (0,a)$. The optimal classification of non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up solutions is determin...

In this paper, we discuss the geometric properties of solution and lower bound estimate of ∆um−1 of the Cauchy problem for a degenerate parabolic equation with periodic source term ut =∆um+ upsint. Our objective is to show that: (1)with continuous variation of time t, the surface ϕ = [u(x,t)]mδq is a complete Riemannian manifold floating in space RN+1and is tangent to the space RN at ∂H0(t); (2...
